We have an outstanding team of instructors and remarkable performing opportunities where the dancers can express themselves in a positive and structured environment that encourages self-expression and confidence. I can't wait to see everyone in class dancing!"

Jean Marie Banks was born and raised in Amarillo Texas. She studied under the direction of Neil and Camille Hess for 13 years while performing for Lone Star Ballet in numerous productions of the Nutcracker. Other shows include; The Jim Cullum Jazz Band, The Lightcrust Dough Boys, and John David Southers.

Jean went on to pursue her degree at WTAMU and has a BFA in dance. During which time she studied under the direction of Edward Truitt, she continued performing for LSB and for WTAMU. Productions include; Nutcracker, Chicago, Carmina Burana, and Exposed Innervision.

While performing for Mr. Truitt Jean traveled to Russia and performed in Energy Unbound at the Kannon Dance Festival. She also danced in Mr. Truitt's Kinnetic Ties. Other names Jean has studied under include; Crystal Bertrand, Bruce Wood, David Taylor, Bill Young, Mia Cunningham, Waylyn Anderson, Stevan Nevochovich, and Natalia Kasparava. Currently, Ms. Banks is an instructor and directing the Lone Star Dance Academy in Hereford and pursuing her masters in political science at WTAMU.
