Students that will be in the Academy Unleashed Production (recital) and will need to register by December as that is when we are focused on the spring Academy Unleashed productions for Academy students. Emily Grace Wallace was born and raised in Amarillo Texas. Dancing for a ballet company that has become an Amarillo institution of excellence passing down a tradition of excellence to all of its dancers has been a great privilege. Her experience as a dancer began at Amarillo College at the age of five and in 2007 she began her adventure with Lone Star Ballet Dance Academy receiving a role in their first production of "The New Nutcracker". Currently, she is a professional dancer with Lone Star Ballet, an instructor at the Amarillo Campus, the Borger Campus and at the Turn Center of Amarillo, where she teaches special needs children. She is also a student at Amarillo College studying to be a Physical Therapist's Assistant. Over the course of her ten years with the company she has been privileged to perform in many roles such as a Mouse, Sweetzian, Sweetzian Princess and Jeune in "The Nutcracker", a Mermaid and Nana in "Peter Pan", a Door in "Dracula", and Pas De Trois in "Swan Lake". Wonderful instruction from instructors like Jerry Vizena, Vicki McClain, Crystal Bertrand, along with summer intensive instruction from Savannah Lowery and Brook Moore have brought her to a place where she can now teach and pass on the tradition of excellence to a new generation of students and also perform as an artist for the city of Amarillo. "I want to thank all of those that are not only a part of the Lone Star Ballet Company family but also all of those generous people who support Lone Star Dance Academy who have given me an opportunity to dance, learn and serve. I want to especially thank my family for all of their love and support over all these years of dancing for God’s Glory. "
