Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith began dancing before she even talk. She has been moving to her own rhythm ever since. In the first grade, Rebecca began her formal training at Macoilek School of Dance in Hobbs, New Mexico. Under the direction of Karen Salb, Rebecca studied ballet, jazz, tap, and Irish tap. Determined to pursue her passion, Rebecca found herself dancing at West Texas A&M University. It was here that Rebecca discovered several genres such as African, hip-hop, lyrical, and modern. While studying for her undergraduate degree, Rebecca taught at WTAMU's Dance Academy and made it a point to encourage her students to dance with their hearts. She is excited to have the opportunity to continue teaching in the Panhandle of Texas.
